The Odd Fellows Opera Block is a historic theatre built in 1891 by the Spoon River #78 Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows at the southwestern corner of Main and Mechanic Streets in Ellisville, Illinois. Constructed during the era when improved transportation and rising local prosperity brought theatrical entertainment to small rural communities, the opera house primarily staged locally produced shows, though it occasionally hosted regional touring companies. With fewer than 1,000 residents and no railroad access, Ellisville relied on the theatre as the community's largest auditorium, which served multiple civic functions including public meetings, benefit fairs, dances, and church services. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1996.
