The Old Custom House in Old Montreal, designed by architect John Ostell and completed in 1836, stands as Montreal's first custom house and exemplifies the Palladian revival style. Now designated a National Historic Site of Canada, the building serves as the Fondation J. Armand Bombardier Pavilion of the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, housing the permanent exhibition "Come Aboard! Pirates or Privateers?" and a recreated New France inn-style lunchroom.
