The Old Indian River County Courthouse stands in Vero Beach, Florida, at 2145 14th Avenue. Built between April 1936 and March 1937 by architect W.H. Garns and contractor James T. Vocelle, the structure exemplifies Masonry Vernacular and Art Moderne style. Its construction was made possible through federal funding obtained from the Public Works Administration during 1933 and 1934, at a time when Indian River County was newly formed and required a judicial seat. The building served as the county courthouse until the seat relocated to a new facility at 2000 16th Avenue, after which it became the Courthouse Executive Center. The structure was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on July 19, 1999.
