Standing 126 metres tall in Zürich's Industriequartier near Hardbrücke railway station, the Prime Tower is a modern office skyscraper completed in 2011 by architects Gigon/Guyer. Upon completion, it held the distinction of being Switzerland's tallest building—a title it retained until 2015, when Basel's Roche Tower surpassed it. The tower demonstrates careful structural engineering, with its central core and supporting columns precisely designed to distribute weight evenly and provide stability against gravity, wind, and seismic activity. Built on the site of a former industrial facility, the Prime Tower took fifteen years from initial planning to completion and proved a financial success, with lease valuations exceeding construction costs by CHF 110 million. A 360° webcam installed atop the building offers sweeping views of the city.
