The National Science Centre (Pusat Sains Negara) sits atop an eight-hectare landscaped site at Bukit Kiara on Kuala Lumpur's northwestern edge, officially opening on 29 November 1996. Designed in high-tech architecture style, the building's distinctive form resembles a truncated cone topped with a geodesic dome. Conceived to promote understanding and interest in science and technology, the centre features exhibition galleries organized around thematic pathways including environmental odyssey, discovery, future world, and thinking machines. The centre later expanded with a branch at Mount Keriang in Kedah, which opened in 2010.
