The Riley Center in Meridian, Mississippi, is a performing arts and conference center originally built as the Grand Opera House in 1889 by half-brothers Israel Marks and Levi Rothenberg. Serving as a venue for entertainment and theatre for decades, the opera house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. In its modern iteration, the Riley Center combines extensive theater renovations with the redevelopment of the adjacent Marks-Rothenberg Department Store as a conference facility, now owned and operated by Mississippi State University-Meridian Campus as the Mississippi State University Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts.
