The Ross Beatty House, built in 1893 at 1499 Sheridan Road in Highland Park, Illinois, is a historic residence designed primarily in the Queen Anne style with Classical Revival elements. Steel magnate Ross J. Beatty commissioned this house as the first of two residences he would build in Highland Park. The Queen Anne influence appears prominently in the building's massing and complex roof structure featuring multiple dormers, while Classical Revival details manifest in pedimented windows and sidelights that frame the entrance. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and remains privately owned.
