Located in Shanghai's Huangpu District, Shimao International Plaza is a 333.3-meter, 60-story skyscraper completed in 2006. Designed by Ingenhoven, Overdiek und Partner in collaboration with the East China Architecture and Design Institute, the tower is crowned by two distinctive spires that contribute to its total height. The upper 48 floors house the Conrad Shanghai, a luxury hotel with 728 rooms (previously known as Le Royal Méridien Shanghai until January 2022), while the lower sections contain a nine-floor shopping mall and three floors of exclusive clubs. The building was developed by Shimao Group, which acquired the original developer, Wan Xiang Group, in 2001 and subsequently renamed the structure.
