Located in Woodbine, Iowa, this Italianate building represents a significant chapter in the town's commercial history. The original corner structure, built in 1878 by the Boyer Valley Bank, features a distinctive clipped corner topped with a metal cornice. After the Independent Order of Odd Fellows vacated their clubroom on the second floor, Adolph Siebels established one of Woodbine's largest and longest-running department stores here beginning in 1904, expanding its inventory from groceries to clothing and housewares. A series of additions—an L-shaped wing in 1902, a northern extension in 1907, and another in 1908—demonstrate the store's growth through the early twentieth century. Under Siebels' ownership and subsequently shared among employees in the 1920s, the store remained in operation until 1954. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012 and became part of the Woodbine Lincoln Highway and Brick Street Historic District in 2013.
