The Beehive is the original Art Deco terminal building at Gatwick Airport near Crawley, opened in 1936 as the world's first fully integrated airport building. Its streamlined design became obsolete as the airport expanded in the 1950s, but the Grade II* listed structure was repurposed as the headquarters for GB Airways before being converted into serviced offices in 2008. Now part of the City Place Gatwick complex, this 20,000-square-foot building remains a nationally and internationally significant example of early airport terminal architecture.
