Travelers Rest, a historic stone dwelling near Burlington in Mineral County, West Virginia, was constructed as a stagecoach stop serving the Northwestern Turnpike corridor between Winchester, Virginia, and Parkersburg. Built in two phases—either in 1827 or as early as 1810—the Ell-shaped structure exemplifies vernacular Greek Revival architecture. The property, also known as the Old Stone House, is now owned by The Mineral County Historical Foundation and is undergoing restoration to house artisans and shops for contemporary travelers on U.S. Route 50. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
