Union Mills is a historic textile mill complex located on Pleasant Street in Fall River, Massachusetts, designed in the Italianate style by architect Josiah Brown. Incorporated in 1859, it was the first large steam-powered mill built in the city, equipped with Corliss steam engines and constructed from local Fall River granite. Under the leadership of president S. Angier Chace and treasurer David Anthony, the company pioneered general subscription funding among Fall River mill corporations. A second mill was added in 1865, and both underwent significant modernization in 1876 when their original gable roofs were replaced with flat roofs to create additional floor space. A third mill, later demolished for Interstate 195 construction, stood adjacent to Mill No. 2. Textile production continued until 1929. The site was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1968 as part of the New England Textile Mill Survey II and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Following complete restoration, the mills now house Prima CARE Medical Center.
