Located at 22 South 7th Street in Van Buren, Arkansas, this single-story post office exemplifies the restrained Art Deco style of 1930s federal architecture. Built in 1936, the brick and stone structure features a symmetrical facade organized by tall pilasters framing the central entrance, which is crowned by an aluminum nameplate and large window. The outer bays are distinguished by windows topped with decorative Art Deco panels. A notable artistic addition came in 1940 when muralist E. Martin Hennings, a member of the Taos Society of Artists, completed a mural funded by the Treasury Department's Section of Fine Arts. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
