Water Tower Place is a 74-story mixed-use skyscraper completed in 1977 on Chicago's North Michigan Avenue along the Magnificent Mile. Standing 262 meters tall, the development integrates a 758,000-square-foot shopping mall with a Ritz Carlton hotel and luxury condominiums, creating an urban complex named after the nearby historic Chicago Water Tower, which famously survived the Great Chicago Fire. In 2026, the building entered a major renovation phase with plans for a $170 million redevelopment addressing the exterior and ground levels while reconfiguring upper floors for flexible commercial and medical real estate uses.
