The Withers Building is a historic building complex on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, comprising three structures that reflect the institution's evolution as a teacher-training school. The centerpiece is the three-story E-shaped Main Classroom-Office Building with a central four-story tower, designed in redbrick Gothic Revival style by Atlanta-based architect William Augustus Edwards of Edwards and Sayward and completed in 1912–1913. The complex also includes the old Presbyterian High School, a two-story structure built in 1891 and acquired by the state in 1910 for the college's teacher-training program, and a gymnasium constructed in 1952. Originally called the Winthrop Training School, the complex was renamed in 1960 to honor Sarah Withers, a college graduate and former school principal. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 20, 1981.
