Big Chief Restaurant, located at 17352 Manchester Road in Wildwood, Missouri, is a 1928 Mission Revival structure that originally opened as part of a tourist camp serving travelers on the newly established U.S. Route 66. Built in Pond, Missouri (now incorporated into Wildwood), the establishment initially offered overnight accommodations alongside dining. When the highway was later rerouted to bypass the area, the business declined, though it briefly served as housing for government employees during World War II. The surrounding cabins were eventually demolished, and after decades of varied commercial uses, the building was restored and reopened as a restaurant in the 1990s, operating today as Big Chief Roadhouse. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
