Brooklyn Tower, completed in 2022 in the Downtown Brooklyn neighborhood, is a 74-story, 1,035-foot supertall residential skyscraper designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS Development Group. Situated on the north side of DeKalb Avenue, it is Brooklyn's first supertall building and the tallest structure in New York City outside Manhattan. The tower rises in Art Deco style above the carefully preserved Dime Savings Bank Building, a designated landmark from 1906–1908 featuring a white-marble facade with colonnades, a diagonal entrance portico, and a distinctive domed roof. The historic bank's hexagonal rotunda serves as retail space within the complex. Brooklyn Tower's mixed-use program includes approximately 150 condominiums and 425 rental apartments across roughly 466,000 square feet, complemented by 120,000 square feet of amenity spaces. Constructed from steel, concrete, glass, bronze, and terracotta, the tower represents a modern addition to Brooklyn's skyline while honoring its architectural heritage.
