The Goedert Meat Market was a two-story Italianate brick building completed in 1890 in McGregor, Iowa, notable for housing the full scope of the meat trade—slaughter, processing, and retail—under one roof in the New York market style. Built for owner John Goedert, who lived upstairs, the building featured a cast-iron storefront manufactured by Mesker Bros. Front Builders of St. Louis, the only complete example of its kind remaining in town. After Goedert's era, it operated as Bergman's deli and butcher shop through 1944. Listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 and designated a contributing property in the McGregor Commercial Historic District in 2002, the building was destroyed by an EF-1 tornado on July 19, 2017, and subsequently removed from the register in 2022.
