Located in McGregor, Iowa, the Christian Bloedel Wagon Works comprises two historic Italianate brick buildings that once formed a thriving wagon manufacturing facility. The main structure, completed in 1862, features a stepped brick parapet along its facade that conceals a gabled roof; its ground floor housed the shop and manufacturing operations while residential quarters occupied the second story. A second brick building, constructed around 1887 and positioned further back on the property, contained the paint shop on its first floor with additional residential space above. Together, these buildings document nineteenth-century American industrial and domestic life, though other structures that once stood on the site have since disappeared. Both buildings were designated to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
