The McHenry County Courthouse in Towner, North Dakota, completed in 1907, exemplifies the Beaux-Arts style through the work of architects Buechner & Orth. Constructed of buff brown brick with a limestone belt course at the first-floor level, the building represents an economical interpretation of the firm's more elaborate Traill County Courthouse design. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, part of a notable series of North Dakota courthouses designed by the same architectural partnership.
