Built in 1910 in Forman, North Dakota, the Sargent County Courthouse is a Beaux-Arts structure designed by the architectural firm Buechner & Orth. Conceived as an "economy version" of the firm's more elaborate Foster County and Pierce County courthouses, it features a center pavilion on its front facade that mirrors the Foster County Courthouse's design with minor variations. The interior showcases a geometric stained-glass skylight and pink terrazzo and marble flooring on the first floor, with a notably simpler rotunda than other Buechner & Orth courthouses in the state. Though the building may once have contained murals now lost, its spatial configuration remains largely intact apart from an acoustical-tile dropped ceiling added to the courtroom. The courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
