Neponsit Beach Hospital was a municipal tuberculosis sanatorium designed by McKim, Mead & White and completed in 1915 on the western Rockaway peninsula in Queens, adjacent to Jacob Riis Park. Originally focused on treating children, the facility shifted to serving military veterans during and after World War II before closing in 1955 as the demand for tuberculosis treatment declined. The complex subsequently operated as a nursing home under various names until its controversial closure in 1998. The building was demolished in 2023.
