One North Central is a 20-story postmodern office tower located at 1 North Central Avenue in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Completed in 2001 and designed by SmithGroup, the 290-foot building was originally built as headquarters for the Phelps Dodge mining company before the firm relocated following its acquisition by Freeport-McMoRan. The tower has changed hands several times, purchased by Mitsubishi Estate in 2008 and later sold to Parallel Capital Partners in 2015. Beginning in 2018, it became a major office hub for Quicken Loans (now Rocket Mortgage), which leased 150,000 square feet across six floors, followed by the opening of a regional office for sister company Amrock in 2021. Today it ranks as the 29th-tallest building in Phoenix.
