The R. C. Harris Water Treatment Plant in Toronto, Ontario, is a landmark Art Deco structure that serves as both essential municipal infrastructure and an acclaimed architectural achievement. Designed by architect Thomas Canfield Pomphrey with engineers H.G. Acres and William Gore, the plant was named after Roland Caldwell Harris, Toronto's longtime commissioner of public works. Situated at the eastern end of Queen Street along Lake Ontario's shore in the Beaches neighbourhood and extending into Scarborough's Birch Cliff area, the building has become recognizable enough to attract film productions, including the 1983 comedy *Strange Brew*.
