The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Jiyaguda in Hyderabad is a four-hundred-year-old Vaishnavite shrine dedicated to Lord Ranganatha, a form of Vishnu, built in the Dravidian architectural style. Situated on the banks of the Musi River, the temple was constructed by the Nanganur Prathama Peetham and is now administered by the Telangana state Endowments Department. Originally following the Thenkalai tradition, it later adopted the Vanamamalai sampradayam. The temple draws thousands of devotees annually for Vaikuntha Ekadashi, its principal festival celebration.
