Smith's Opera House, located in Geneva, New York, is a historic theater building constructed in 1894 as a brick-and-stone structure rising three and a half stories. Built by prominent Geneva citizen William Smith to a design by the architecture firm Pierce & Bickford, the building was reimagined in 1931 when architect Victor Rigaumount renovated it as a movie theater, introducing a distinctive fusion of Art Deco and Baroque motifs. The theater later became part of the Schine Theater Chain, which substantially redecorated the interior, and subsequently passed to Panther Enterprises in the late 1960s before being renamed Smith Opera House in 1983. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, the building stands within Geneva's Commercial Historic District.
