Located at Tank Road in Singapore's Museum Planning Area, Sri Thendayuthapani Temple—popularly known as the Chettiars' Temple—was established in 1859 by the Chettiars, an Indian community of moneylenders who built this structure as one of the Hindu community's most significant monuments. Constructed in traditional Hindu temple architecture, the temple has been managed by the Chettiars' Temple Society since its founding. Following substantial reconstruction in 1983 and renovation in 2022, the temple was officially gazetted as a National Monument of Singapore on 20 October 2014, recognizing its historical and cultural importance.
