The St. Regis Chicago is a 101-story, 365-meter supertall skyscraper completed in 2020 in the Lakeshore East development, designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects—making it the world's tallest structure designed by a woman. Chicago's third-tallest building, it comprises three interconnected masses with a buttressed core and distinctive inward-stepping perimeter columns. To manage wind-induced sway, the structure incorporates uninhabited "blow-through floors" and six tuned mass damper tanks. The mixed-use tower houses the St. Regis Hotel on its first ten floors with 192 units, above which 393 luxury condominium residences occupy the upper levels, along with resident amenities on the 47th floor and two restaurants within the hotel section. Originally developed jointly by the Magellan Development Group and China's Wanda Group, the building was renamed St. Regis Chicago in November 2020 following a management agreement with St. Regis Hotels & Resorts.
