The Naanmadiya Perumal Temple, located in the village of Thalaichangadu near Akkur in Mayiladuthurai district, Tamil Nadu, is a Dravidian-style Hindu shrine dedicated to Vishnu, worshipped here as Nanmadiya Perumal, and his consort Lakshmi as Talaichanga Nachiar. One of the 108 Divya Desams—sacred sites celebrated in the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints (6th–9th centuries CE)—the temple upholds its ancient spiritual legacy through daily rituals and seasonal festivals. The most prominent observance is the ten-day Vaikuntha Ekadashi festival held during the Tamil month of Margali (December–January). The temple remains under the administration of the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of Tamil Nadu.
