The Cullinan is a pair of luxury residential towers in West Kowloon, Hong Kong, designed by Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd. and completed in 2008–2009. Rising 270 metres and reaching 68 storeys, both the North and South towers held the title of Hong Kong's tallest residential buildings at the time of completion. Executed in postmodern style, the complex features glass curtain walls with vistas across Victoria Harbour, its transparent facade echoing the architectural language of the neighbouring International Commerce Centre. The development, located within Union Square and originally conceived as part of the Kowloon Station master plan, takes its name from the celebrated 3,106-carat Cullinan Diamond discovered in 1905—the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever found, whose faceted stones grace the British Crown Jewels and royal collections.
