The United States Post Office in Coalgate, Oklahoma, completed in 1940, exemplifies Streamline Moderne design under the direction of architect Louis A. Simon. Built of brick, the structure reflects the sleek, forward-looking aesthetic characteristic of New Deal-era federal architecture. A notable interior feature is the mural *Women Making Pishafa*, painted by Acee Blue Eagle, a Muscogee artist (ca. 1907–1959), which documents Native American cultural practice. The post office has been recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.
