The Westin Bonaventure Hotel is a 33-story postmodern hotel in Los Angeles, designed by John C. Portman Jr. and completed in 1977. Rising 367 feet, the cylindrical tower features a distinctive revolving restaurant and bar on its top floor. Originally financed by investors including a Mitsubishi Corporation subsidiary and Portman's own firm, the hotel has been the subject of numerous documentaries and academic studies examining both the building and its architect's broader influence on urban design.
