Agastheeswarar Temple in Agasthiyampalli, Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu, is a Dravidian Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva whose sanctity is attested by its inclusion in the seventh-century Tamil Saiva canonical text Tevaram, composed by the nayanmars. The temple's history spans medieval periods, evidenced by inscriptions from the Chola and Pandya eras. Multiple shrines honor the presiding deity Agastiswara and his consort Pakampiriyal Nayagi. The temple maintains an active ritual life with six daily ceremonies and three yearly festivals, culminating in the Brahmotsavam, an annual celebration that draws thousands of devotees.
