Five World Trade Center is a planned mixed-use skyscraper designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox for a site at the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, located across Liberty Street from the main complex. As of February 2021, the building is being developed through a joint venture between Silverstein Properties and Brookfield Properties and will rise approximately 226 meters (910 feet) with roughly 1.56 million square feet of space. The structure will employ reinforced concrete, steel, glass, and aluminum in its construction. The project occupies a site historically associated with the original 5 World Trade Center, which was severely damaged during the September 11 attacks and subsequently demolished. Earlier plans to develop the site as headquarters for JPMorgan Chase's investment division were abandoned following the company's 2008 acquisition of Bear Stearns.
