Nationals Park is a modern baseball stadium completed in 2008 along the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C.'s Navy Yard neighborhood, home to Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals. Designed by HOK Sport and Devrouax & Purnell Architects and Planners, the venue was the first LEED-certified green major professional sports stadium in the United States. Built from concrete and steel at a height of 130 meters, the ballpark seats 41,373 and cost approximately $783.9 million to construct and outfit with infrastructure improvements, financed primarily through municipal bonds and D.C. taxpayer funds. Distinctive views of the Washington Monument and Capitol building are visible from the upper decks along the first base line. The stadium hosted the 2018 MLB All-Star Game, the first All-Star Game held in Washington since 1969, and three games of the 2019 World Series, the first World Series games played in the nation's capital since 1933.
