Sathyamurthi Perumal Temple, located in Thirumayam in Tamil Nadu's Pudukkottai district, is a rock-cut Dravidian shrine dedicated to the god Vishnu and designated a Monument of National Importance. Believed built by the Pallavas in the 9th century, the temple is one of 108 Divya Desams and was celebrated in the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints. The temple features a five-tiered rajagopuram gateway tower set within a 15th-century fort, and is enclosed by a granite wall that surrounds its shrines and internal tank. Now maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India, it worships Vishnu as Sathyamurthi Perumal alongside his consort Lakshmi as Ujeevana Thayar, following the Tenkalai tradition and hosting prominent festivals including the car festival during Vaikasi (April–May).
