Sattainathar Temple in Sirkali, Mayiladuthurai district, Tamil Nadu, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, rendered in the Dravidian architectural style. The ancient complex features three distinct shrines dedicated to Shiva distributed across three levels. The lower level houses the Bhramapureeswarar shrine, accompanied by the goddess Ambal Sthira sundari; the middle level contains Periyanakar and Sattainathar, with a colossal image of Uma Maheswarar, earning it the alternate name Thoniappar; and the upper level holds Bhairavar. The temple is classified as a Paadal Petra Sthalam, celebrated in the hymns of Thevaram. According to legend, the child saint Sambandar was fed by Parvathi on the temple's banks before composing Tevaram, one of South India's most important Saiva texts. Twenty-two water bodies are associated with the shrine.
