Thirumeninathar temple, also known as Boominathar or Tiruchuli temple, is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Shiva in Tiruchuli, Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu, exemplifying Dravidian architectural traditions. Built originally by the Pandyas with subsequent additions by various dynasties, the temple complex spans two and a half acres enclosed by concentric rectangular walls housing multiple shrines, the most prominent dedicated to Shiva (worshipped as Thirumeninathar in lingam form), his consort Parvati (Thunaimalaiyammai Amman), and Pralayavitankar. Revered in the 7th-century Tamil Saiva canonical text Tevaram by the nayanmars and closely associated with the saint Sundarar, it ranks as the 12th Tevara Stalam in the Pandya region. The temple maintains three daily rituals and celebrates major festivals including Thirukalyana in Panguni (February–March) and Chitra Pournamai. It is notable as the birthplace of Ramana Maharishi, a significant Saivite saint.
