Thirumarperu Manikandeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located on Ocheri-Tirumalpur road in Tirumalpur, Tamil Nadu, built in the Dravidian architectural style. Constructed during the Cholas period in the ninth century, the temple features a five-tiered Rajagopuram (gateway tower) and is enclosed by a granite wall. Shiva is worshipped here as Manikandeswarar alongside his consort Parvathi, venerated as Karunai Nayagi. The presiding deity is revered in the seventh-century Tamil Saiva work Tevaram, composed by the Nayanmars, conferring upon it the status of Paadal Petra Sthalam. The temple maintains six daily rituals and observes three yearly festivals, including Maasi Magam, Adipooram, and Navarathri uthsavam, and is administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
