Schloss Neidstein is a castle in Etzelwang, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, built in 1513 and designated as an architectural heritage monument. Originally the seat of a Hofmark during the Palatinate-Sulzbach period (16th–18th centuries), the castle served as the residence of the Brandt family from 1466 onward. With its surrounding 165 hectares of forest and meadows, it now forms part of the Schergenbuck reserve. After passing through various owners in the 20th century—including American judge Theodor P. Von Brand (from 1979), actor Nicolas Cage (2006–2009), and a lawyer in Amberg (from 2009)—the modernized castle has been repurposed as a venue for workshops and conferences, notably hosting events organized by the Fraunhofer Society.
