Encore Las Vegas is a 48-story luxury resort and casino designed by Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo and completed in 2008 on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Standing 192 meters tall, the hotel tower contains 2,034 rooms and forms part of the Wynn Resorts complex, directly adjacent to its sister property Wynn Las Vegas. Built on the former site of the Desert Inn—demolished after Steve Wynn's 2000 purchase—Encore replaced two earlier hotel structures and was constructed at a cost of $2.3 billion by Tutor Saliba. The resort encompasses 72,000 square feet of gaming space, the Encore Esplanade retail area, multiple restaurants including one honoring Frank Sinatra, the Encore Theater, a spa, and 60,000 square feet of convention facilities. Since opening on December 22, 2008, it has earned the AAA Five Diamond Award and the Five Star award from Forbes Travel Guide.
